My family and I live in Minneapolis Minnesota. This is a blog about my fight with Cancer. I hope to share about my experience with treatment, my life with my beautiful family, and this crazy adventure called life. Oh, and we love doughnuts!

Bachelor Farmer Cafe

Every other week or so my dear friend Mirko and I get together to enjoy a caffeinated beverage whilst catching each other up on the goings on. And while we love our usual spot that is Spyhouse we decided that it was time to deviate. When I suggested my devious plan Mirko suggested The Bachelor Farmer Cafe, and boy I am glad he did.

Having had dinner at The Bachelor Farmer and drinks at the ever so elusive Marvel Bar I knew that we would enjoy our experience.

Walking into the front entrance we were greeted with a handwritten sign stating the specials and features of the day. Turning left to enter the cafe we were welcomed by beautifully baked goods on display, and by a well appointed cafe with geometric tile walls and just the right touches of brass.

The baristas are a friendly crew ready to prepare a well crafted drink, and once we ordered we found a comfy spot to sit and chat.

We ordered our usuals, a mocha for myself and a cappuccino for my partner in crime, and I can say that our suspicions were correct, simply delicious. As we ordered our second drinks I was introduced to the MPLS Parking App allowing us to pay for our parking from the comfort of the cafe. Paid up we continued our conversation over our drinks and a perfect piece of coffee cake.

Once again the Dayton boys prove they have their families chops for creating a creative and quality space. It must be said that other great restaurants that later add a coffee program have not had the same success, it is always a risk for a restaurant to add a serious espresso based menu to their overall concept. Bachelor Farmer took the risk and it has paid off.

Bellies full and hearts warmed we said our goodbyes and headed to our respective places of employment. And now I am looking for our next coffee shop to try.
